Bailey Zimmerman, a rising star in the country music scene, has an active arrest warrant in New Mexico after an alleged drunken incident at Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque.
The warrant, filed in Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court, details events from May 27, when Zimmerman was scheduled to perform at the venue's amphitheater. Surveillance footage reportedly captured him appearing intoxicated throughout the afternoon.
During a sound check, Zimmerman allegedly displayed erratic behavior, swinging a guitar and striking the ground, throwing drum cymbals, and pushing over part of a drum set. He also reportedly attempted to kick a microphone stand and shoved one of his band members.
After leaving the stage, the affidavit states that Zimmerman kicked a black box, spat toward a security officer, and threw a water bottle down a staircase. He expressed dissatisfaction with the color of the SUV provided for his transportation and initially refused to enter the vehicle.
As a result of his actions, Zimmerman canceled his concert that night. Sandia Resort and Casino staff decided that he and his team needed to leave the premises. Following some resistance, he was escorted to a bus and taken away.
On the same day, Zimmerman posted on Instagram, citing illness as the reason for canceling. He expressed regret for disappointing fans and promised to announce rescheduled dates soon.
The following day, staff discovered extensive damage in Zimmerman's hotel room, including a broken TV and furniture, with total damages estimated at over $16,000. Additionally, he allegedly charged over $400 in alcohol to the room without settling the bill.
The warrant, signed on June 18, includes a no-bond hold and charges Zimmerman with criminal damage to property, a fourth-degree felony, and falsely obtaining services, a misdemeanor.
