Baltimore Police Conduct Major Seizures in Dirt Bike and Car Club Operations

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) has reported significant enforcement actions against illegal dirt bike and car club activities, resulting in the seizure of 10 vehicles and the arrest of two individuals over the weekend.

Police operations targeted large gatherings of dirt bike riders, particularly in the Southern and Northern Districts, where officers intervened to prevent groups from moving through city parks. Authorities noted that hundreds of riders had gathered near Druid Hill Park, prompting a swift police response to manage the situation.

As part of these efforts, officers successfully dispersed the crowd and seized three illegal vehicles during the operation. In total, the BPD confiscated 10 dirt bikes and vehicles throughout the weekend.

Additionally, officers observed individuals engaging in fueling up at gas stations linked to the illegal dirt bike activities. Consequently, civil citations were issued to businesses located at 101 W. Patapsco Avenue and 3601 Potee Street.

In a related operation focused on car club gatherings, police were alerted to a large assembly of vehicles in the 1000 block of Wilson Drive. Responding to the call, officers strategically positioned themselves to manage the situation and secure exit routes.

During this operation, police conducted 54 vehicle stops and issued 36 traffic citations. One individual was arrested for assaulting a police officer, while another faced charges for gun violations and possession of a stolen vehicle, which had been reported stolen in Montgomery County on June 26. Three vehicles were also towed from the scene.

The BPD emphasized its commitment to tackling illegal dirt bike activities, exhibition driving, and unauthorized vehicle gatherings, which pose risks to public safety and disrupt the quality of life in local communities.
