The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) has publicly identified several victims of homicides that took place earlier this month, shedding light on the tragic incidents affecting the community.

On May 5, 31-year-old Musa Witherspoon was fatally injured in the afternoon on the 400 block of S. Gilmor Street. Initially reported as being in critical condition, Witherspoon later died from his injuries.

Just a day later, on May 6, 26-year-old Xavier George was shot and killed shortly before midnight on the 1800 block of N. Durham Street in East Baltimore. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The violence continued into the early hours of May 7, when 37-year-old Jamal Ferguson was shot on the 4400 block of Fairview Avenue. Ferguson succumbed to his injuries later that morning at a local hospital.

Most recently, on May 15, both 34-year-old Michael Parker and 22-year-old Rayvin Simms were killed in a shooting that occurred shortly before 1 a.m. on the 1800 block of W. Lexington Street in Central Baltimore.

These incidents highlight ongoing concerns about safety and violence in Baltimore, as community members mourn the loss of these individuals.
