ARNOLD, Md. — A fire erupted at the Extra Space Storage facility located on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon, causing damage to several units.
Anne Arundel County firefighters were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:50 p.m. after receiving reports of the blaze. Crews from the Annapolis Fire Department and the Naval Academy Fire Department also responded to assist.
Upon arrival, firefighters found multiple storage units engulfed in flames and smoke. A second alarm was initially raised but was later canceled as firefighters were able to control the fire efficiently.
Three storage units were confirmed to have sustained damage due to the incident. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries among the personnel or the public.
Fire investigators from Anne Arundel County are currently looking into the cause of the fire.
