Firefighters Respond to Blaze in Hampden Row Homes

BALTIMORE — Fire crews worked diligently on Saturday evening to control a fire that impacted three row homes in the Hampden neighborhood.

Emergency responders were called to the 800 block of W. 37th Street shortly after 5 p.m. following reports of a dwelling fire.

Upon their arrival, firefighters encountered a two-story row home exhibiting visible smoke, with flames having spread to two neighboring homes. This situation led to the issuance of a second alarm to summon additional firefighting resources.

During the operation, two firefighters sustained minor injuries and were subsequently taken to local hospitals for evaluation and treatment.

The fire was brought under control relatively quickly, and it was confirmed that one of the affected homes was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation as crews continued to assess the situation on the scene.
