Social media influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested in Miami on Saturday, following the announcement of new rape and sex trafficking charges by prosecutors in the United Kingdom. The Crown Prosecution Service in Britain indicated that these charges involve four additional victims, stemming from evidence gathered by Bedfordshire Police.
The latest allegations add to a complex international legal battle for the brothers, who are already facing multiple charges in both the U.K. and Romania. The new charges include seven counts of rape against Andrew Tate, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault, and 19 offenses related to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. Tristan Tate faces one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts of facilitating sex trafficking.
With these recent developments, the total number of alleged victims in the U.K. now stands at seven. The brothers have consistently denied any wrongdoing. In addition to their legal troubles in the U.K., they are also dealing with ongoing charges in Romania, where they were previously arrested in late 2022 along with two Romanian women for allegedly luring women for sexual exploitation.
The Tates have been in the U.S. since February 2025 after being allowed to leave Romania, where they had been under legal scrutiny. British authorities have since requested their extradition to face the new charges. As of now, the brothers await extradition proceedings in Miami.
Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer with a significant online following, has made headlines for his controversial views and promotion of wealth and male dominance. Both brothers have faced bans from various social media platforms for violating hate speech guidelines.
