Authorities are investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a man in an Odenton neighborhood on Saturday night. Police responded to a report of gunfire in the 500 block of Williamsburg Lane and discovered the victim on the sidewalk.

The man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. As of now, the Anne Arundel County Police have not provided further details regarding the incident.

This incident marks the latest in a series of violent occurrences in the area. According to police records, there have been at least four homicides in Anne Arundel County since the beginning of the year. The first homicide was reported in January when Timothy Leslie Randolph, 45, from Baltimore, was fatally shot in Odenton.

Subsequent incidents included the deaths of a man and woman found shot in a home in Harwood, as well as a shooting involving contracted security personnel at Northrop Grumman’s Linthicum campus.
