Mayor Scott Unveils Updated Action Plan to Enhance Baltimore's Infrastructure and Public Safety

BALTIMORE, MD — With a little over two years left in his second term, Mayor Brandon Scott is shifting his administration's focus from immediate crisis management to sustainable long-term city maintenance. He has presented an updated action plan that emphasizes public infrastructure and reinforces the public safety achievements of his tenure.

This revised strategy builds on the original plan introduced in 2021, maintaining five key pillars: public safety, support for youth and vulnerable populations, clean and sustainable communities, economic development, and responsible city financial management.

In a notable addition, the updated plan introduces a sixth pillar, titled “Modernizing Public Infrastructure.” This new focus aims to enhance underground structures, ensure equitable access to city resources, improve transportation services, and upgrade digital systems.

“The pillars in this plan are supported by specific measurable goals and targeted strategies to ensure all agencies are aligned on our citywide priorities,” Scott stated. “It’s a tool for accountability and transparency that gives residents a closer look at exactly how we are working to improve their neighborhoods.”
