Baltimore's Department of Transportation announced a new network of protected bike lanes connecting Canton, Fells Point and Patterson Park, set to break ground this summer.
The plan adds roughly four miles of separated lanes along key corridors, part of a broader effort to make the waterfront neighborhoods more walkable and bike-friendly. Community associations have largely backed the project, though some business owners worry about parking.
What changes
Expect lane striping to begin in July, with the full network targeted for completion before the fall festival season.
