BALTIMORE — Authorities are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Thursday night in the Sandtown-Winchester area of west Baltimore.
At approximately 7:36 p.m. on July 16, police received a ShotSpotter alert indicating gunfire in the 1300 block of N. Carey Street. Officers responded to the scene and discovered a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg.
The victim was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he is currently reported to be in stable condition. Police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
