ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. — The search for a missing boater in Rock Creek has transitioned into a recovery operation, as reported by the Maryland Natural Resources Police.
The unidentified man was last seen at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Sunday when he jumped from a pontoon boat to retrieve a hat that had fallen into the water. Unfortunately, he did not resurface after entering the water and was not wearing a life jacket at the time.
In response to the incident, multiple agencies have joined forces in the recovery efforts, including the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, Baltimore County Fire Department, Maryland State Police Trooper 6 helicopter, and the U.S. Coast Guard.
The search resumed at 7 a.m. on Monday and will continue indefinitely as authorities work to locate the missing individual.
