Baltimore fire crews responded to a three-alarm fire on Sunday afternoon that affected several rowhomes in the Reservoir Hill area.

The incident occurred around noon in the 2500 block of Brookfield Avenue. Multiple fire units, along with animal control officers, were dispatched to the scene to manage the situation.

Firefighters were able to rescue several dogs and cats trapped inside the homes. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among residents or animals.

Veobia Akilo, chief of staff for the Baltimore City Fire Department, confirmed that the fire was under control shortly after 1 p.m. Initial reports indicated that at least three homes sustained damage due to the blaze.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, according to Akilo.
