Baltimore police have arrested two individuals in connection with a shooting that occurred over a year ago in East Baltimore.
On June 30, 2025, 33-year-old Sir Bryant Alston was shot in the 1100 block of East Preston Street. Officers responded to the scene shortly after 12:55 a.m. and discovered Alston suffering from a gunshot wound. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Despite efforts to save him, Alston succumbed to his injuries on July 25, 2025, nearly a month after the incident.
Following an extensive investigation, police apprehended 22-year-old Kamal Godwin on July 14, 2026, in the 4700 block of Mount Hope Drive. Shortly thereafter, 23-year-old Kahree Fowlkes was arrested in the 5100 block of Terrace Drive.
Both suspects have been charged with first-degree murder and were taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility.
