BALTIMORE — Two teenagers were apprehended on Monday night in downtown Baltimore after a foot chase with police, during which officers discovered a loaded handgun.

According to the Baltimore Police Department (BPD), officers responded to a call regarding armed individuals in the 300 block of Light Street around 8:27 p.m. Upon arrival, they received descriptions of the suspects and quickly located them.

Following a brief pursuit on foot, the officers successfully arrested the two 16-year-old boys. In the course of the arrest, a loaded firearm was seized.

Both suspects have previous arrests related to robbery and were subsequently taken to the Juvenile Justice Center, where they face charges for handgun violations.
