Artist Talk | Artist and Landscape Architect Sophie Maguire and Landscape Architect Meg Baldwin

Sophie Maguire is an artist and landscape architect living in Baltimore City. Her practice focuses on storytelling, intimacy between the human & nonhuman, landscape as theater, and the meaning of resiliency. She works through many mediums including, choreography, collage, cooking, drawing, embroidery, performance, writing and, most recently, small metal work. A former designer with the City of Baltimore Recreation and Parks Capital Division, Sophie holds an MA in Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She is currently a Visiting Instructor at Morgan State University. Meg Baldwin holds an MA in Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia. She is the founder of Garden Practice, a landscape architecture and garden design practice specializing in ecological and bio-diverse garden plantings and landscape design.
