Elizabeth was a passenger aboard United Airlines Flight 93 on September 11, 2001. In her honor, her family established the Honor Elizabeth Wainio ’95 Memorial Communications Scholarship and has brought family, friends, alumni, and supporters together to celebrate her remarkable life and enduring spirit through this fundraiser.
Since 2005, the scholarship has awarded more than $300,000 to 44 students, helping communications students in the College of Fine Arts & Communication pursue their dreams.
Tickets are $50 and include beer, wine, and heavy appetizers, plus access to a curated silent auction and mystery wine pull. $35 from every ticket directly supports the scholarship.
