Role Summary

T. Rowe Price’s Investment Product Analyst & Communications (INPAC) Rotational Program offers recent college undergraduate students an exciting opportunity to grow a career and thrive in the asset management industry.  In this rotational program, INPAC Associates will receive comprehensive training, mentoring and experience across different businesses at the firm. Each rotation is six months long and provides exposure such as portfolio analysis, investment product development, investment and market insight research, and institutional sales and client service. Successful associates will be matched with available full-time opportunities after completion of the program. 

 

As a part of the INPAC Program, you will rotate approximately every 6 months for up to 2 years within the following departments with a focus on developing investment, product, and client knowledge, analytical skills, and communication skills.

These cross-functional rotations provide broad exposure to many aspects of the business, providing insight into the investment and client support process:  

  • Investments – Portfolio Analysis 
  • Product – Asset Class and Vehicle Product Management 
  • Marketing – Investment & Market Insights
  • U.S. Distribution – Sales, Client Service, Client Experience

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities within rotation assignments may include: 

  • Conduct market, competitor, product, and client research to inform product strategy, sales opportunities, client targeting, and broader business initiatives.
  • Support product lifecycle, roadmap, capacity monitoring, and new product launch processes through research, analysis, and cross-functional project work.
  • Help prepare senior client service, sales, and relationship management teams for client and prospect meetings by gathering relevant account, strategy, and market information and maintaining actionable client data within CRM platforms.
  • Produce, update, and distribute market, product, portfolio, and client-facing presentations, reports, and communications in support of investment, product, and distribution teams.
  • Analyze and synthesize datasets to develop insights on fund performance, product capabilities, client behavior, and business opportunities.
  • Provide analytical and data support for assigned investment strategies, including attribution analysis, market trends, portfolio statistics, and investment narrative development. 

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Full time student pursing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date of December 2026 – May/June 2027 with a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale  
  • Demonstrated analytical experience using Excel and creating presentations in PowerPoint 
  • Minimum of 24 credit hours in related courses: Communications, Economics, Finance, Marketing, etc (open to various majors) 
  • A growth mindset with commitment to ongoing learning of AI-augmented platforms

 

Preferred: 

  • Previous internship experience in asset management industry or related field
  • Strong interpersonal skills; both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems
  • Sophisticated critical thinking skills
  • Interest in investing and following the markets
  • Ability to process a variety of information and quickly draw relevant conclusions and summarize results 
  • Ability to learn proprietary & third-party applications (e.g., Office, Morningstar, etc.)

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$59,000.00 - $94,500.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$61,000.00 - $104,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$69,500.00 - $118,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the roleBase salary is only one component of our total compensation packageEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
