  • Coordinate daily with Sport Performance staff to ensure unified training standards and department alignment.
  • Communicate regularly with sport coaches regarding training goals, athlete readiness, and competitive demands.
  • Collaborate with athletic trainers to integrate injury‑prevention strategies and return‑to‑play progressions.
  • Develop periodized training programs aligned with sport calendars and competitive objectives.
  • Create individualized modifications based on athlete needs, performance data, and medical considerations.
  • Lead daily training sessions with technical instruction, movement correction, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor athlete safety, readiness, and training intensity to optimize performance and reduce injury risk.
  • Demonstrate proper technique and provide real‑time coaching cues to enhance movement quality.
  • Track performance metrics and adjust training prescriptions based on data and coach feedback.
  • Ensure compliance and sound judgment with the University’s Title IX and other MSU policies and procedures.
  • Manage MSU and student information confidentially and ethically.
  • Assist with the coordination and performance on competition day management, as necessary.
  • Possible team travel as requested on an as needed basis.
  • Perform other duties, including administrative, as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Sport Performance and/or the Vice President & Director of Athletics or designee.
