Role Summary 

  • Requires conceptual knowledge of theories and practices in their own job discipline. Works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Accountable for their own contributions; regularly verifies that work quality and timeliness meet team objectives
  • Works under established parameters for daily work; may receive more guidance on new assignments. Supports investment teams through all stages of the client life cycle by managing standard investment-related operational activities.

Responsibilities

  • Under the general guidance of team members and management, supports the ongoing operational activities associated with portfolio management of one or more investment strategies.
  • Example activities include: researching investment and performance data; generating standard and recurring investment-, risk-, and performance-related reporting; providing operational support for model portfolios; coordinating responses on corporate action events; researching pre-trade compliance alerts; maintaining strategy-level data, benchmarks, and performance composites; processing discretionary trade orders; and resolving standard investment-related operational issues.
  • With guidance from team members and management, ensures operational readiness to support investment management activities for standard investment strategies, products, separate accounts, and/or investment types. Example activities include: reviewing prospectus language and investment guidelines, instructing opening of foreign market trading accounts, generating standing instructions with internal and external parties, etc.
  • Collaborates with others to compose portfolio manager responses to quantitative investment-related data inquiries posed by internal teams, clients, consultants, and prospects

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated interest in private markets, asset management, or investment analysis through coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to evaluate financial statements, market trends, and investment performance
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with financial modeling, data analysis, and investment research tools is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams
  • High level of professionalism, intellectual curiosity, and eagerness to learn
  • Internship experience in asset management, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or financial services preferred
  • Interest in pursuing the CFA or other relevant professional designation is a plus

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role. 

 

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day a week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$59,000.00 - $94,500.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$61,000.00 - $104,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$69,500.00 - $118,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the roleBase salary is only one component of our total compensation packageEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
