Bilingual Pharmacy Cashier / Tech trainee

Job Description


Highlandtown Pharmacy is an independent retail pharmacy focussing on improving patient health with an outstanding customer service experience. Our company culture is based on success through teamwork while encouraging and supporting individual growth.


We currently have openings Part Time pharmacy cashier (about 15 hours a week). While entry level, these positions will involve cross training for pharmacy technician duties and have room for advancement. We can provide pharmacy tech training program as well if interested further to help with certification for pharmacy technician.


Cashiers are responsible for interacting with patients and team members, supporting organization initiatives and providing an outstanding customer service experience.


Successful candidates must be able to perform a variety of tasks including:


· Operating a computerized cash register system and handling cash as well as credit card transactions.


· Filing completed patient prescriptions in alphabetical order and retrieving them for sale


· Receiving wholesaler orders and stocking merchandise on shelves


· Merchandising and resetting seasonal and gift displays


· Assisting patients and customers to find items on the sales floor


· Assisting customers with Bill Pay and other services that the organization provides


· Cleaning shelves and floors while maintaining a safe environment for customers and staff alike.


· Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry packages up to 30 lb.


· Complete other duties as assigned


· Candidates must be available to work during the days and times that our store is open. (Monday thru Friday 8:30 AM - 5.:30 PM and Saturdays 9AM – 2PM). Shifts will likely vary day to day and week to week.


Qualifications


Must be bilingual speaking English and Spanish language proficiently


Previous retail experience is preferred but not required


High School diploma or GED


Must be able to read, write and count accurately


Must have strong verbal and writing skills


Must be 18 years or older


Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.


Job Type: Part-time/Full time


Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour and salary increase upon obtaining Pharmacy technician license .
