Job Description Summary
The Coordinator of Operations is responsible for providing high-level support to the Chair and Director of Operations of the Fischell Department of Bioengineering. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to facilitating special projects on behalf of the Chair, managing the department's APT process, organizing departmental meetings, events, and committees, serving as the point of contact for internal and external constituents, and managing departmental financial and human resources operations in coordination with the Director of Operations. This position may be required to work some evenings and weekends as needed to manage events.The A. Physical Demands: Sedentary work performed in a normal office environment requiring the ability to operate office equipment and keyboards. Close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Ability to attend meetings both on and off campus.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: One (1) year of professional secretarial, clerical, coordinator, or administrative experience. Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education. Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record-keeping. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products. Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.Additional Job Details
