YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Behavioral Healthcare and Counseling: Provide expert individual, family, and group therapy for SOF members and their families, addressing psychological and social challenges unique to military life. Develop evidence-based treatment plans to support recovery and resilience. Case Management and Collaboration: Oversee case management functions, coordinating care and tracking patient progress while collaborating with providers to enhance patient outcomes. Team Collaboration and Support: Work with an interdisciplinary team for a holistic approach to care, participating in meetings that align with USSOCOM's mission. Research and Development: Engage in research to inform clinical practices and improve services, producing reports and publications for government-sponsored conferences. Training and Professional Development: Participate in required training to stay updated with standards in behavioral health and SOF care. WHAT WE SEEK:
LCSW: Master of Social Work (MSW) or equivalent from an accredited school. Minimum of two years of experience in clinical social work. Prior military and/or SOF experience is preferred. MHC: Master's or doctoral degree in marriage and family therapy or a behavioral science from an accredited program. Minimum of two years of experience in clinical counseling and preferred prior military/SOF experience. Licensure & Certifications:
Current, unrestricted clinical license to practice independently in any U.S. state or territory and active Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from a recognized organization is also required.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
Clinical expertise in social work procedures and evidence-based therapies. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and military personnel. Cultural sensitivity for understanding the needs of military personnel in high-stress situations. Confidentiality awareness regarding HIPAA guidelines. WORK CONDITIONS:
This position is available across various military bases, with assignments depending on location. You will have the opportunity to work directly with SOF units, providing essential support where needed most. Regular duty hours may occasionally require early or extended hours.
