This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

Who We Are

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Pharmaceuticals, Drugs, and Biotechnology mid-level specialist to serve in The Office of National Security (ONS), within the Immediate Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which manages Department-wide programs and provides oversight, policy direction, standards, and performance assessments in the areas of counterintelligence, intelligence, insider threat, cyber threat intelligence, information security, national personnel security, homeland security, and the safeguarding of classified information.

ONS provides Counterintelligence, Intelligence, and administrative support to customers within HHS. This role will fall under the Intelligence Division and will focus on providing intelligence analysis and support related to the Pharmaceutical, Drugs and Biotechnology portfolio to senior HHS leaders.

What You Will Do

The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting all‑source analysis; providing and supporting briefings to senior personnel; developing effective working relationships with HHS principals and addressing their intelligence requirements; identifying emerging risks within the assigned portfolio; coordinating and collaborating with federal partners; and participating in relevant working groups and interagency meetings. Additional duties include performing tasks common to an intelligence analyst position, such as delivering briefing support and producing tailored intelligence products.

What We Are Looking For

5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's in a related field; 3 years of experience with a master's in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years of relevant experienceTS/SCI ClearancePossess an understanding of the US biotechnology industry and risks specific to itExpertise in licit and illicit drugs, pharmaceutical and medical devices, supply chain issues related to pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, associated regulatory and policy issues, foreign biotechnology developments, biomanufacturing, and bioeconomy-related issuesAbility to do the following: assess and weigh source reliability and credibility, identify assumptions, distinguish facts from judgments, and evaluate alternate explanationsProvide trend analysis based on pattern recognition, including synthesizing fragmented information and identifying critical gapsPossess research and collection skills, e.g. knowing what data sources to query, identify priority intelligence requirements, key intelligence questionsBrief senior leaders on critical updates and key trends in intelligence reporting that properly attributes sources, conveys uncertainty, and offers important contextDisplays intelligence acumen, e.g. knowledge of how to leverage IC partners, appropriate classificationExcellent technical writing skillsStrong verbal communication skills and the ability to work with othersMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have a working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat

Preferred Requirements

Ability to adjust to constantly changing priorities and demandsExperience interacting with customers and/or functional peer group involving matters between functional areas, other divisions or units, or customers and the departmentFamiliarity with Security Classification Guides (SCGs) and Classification Management Tool (CMT)1 to 3 years of experience in technical writing or editing with at least one year working in the Intelligence Community
