Baltimore Police are currently investigating a tragic incident that occurred on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the death of a 19-year-old male scooter rider.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on June 20, officers responded to reports of a crash in the 1700 block of N. Washington St. in the Broadway East area of the city.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered a collision involving a scooter and an SUV. The rider of the scooter, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, despite the medical efforts made.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
