BALTIMORE — A three-year-old girl has died following a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon in Southwest Baltimore.

Authorities responded to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian in the 1800 block of W. Pratt Street. Upon arrival, police discovered the young girl suffering from severe injuries. She was promptly transported to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter.

Initial investigations revealed that the vehicle involved in the incident fled the scene. However, officers were able to locate the vehicle shortly after and apprehended the driver, a 14-year-old boy.

Further inquiries indicated that the car had been reported stolen by a family member just prior to the accident.
