7-Year-Old Fatally Shot in Milford Mill Home

A tragic incident occurred in Milford Mill on Tuesday afternoon when a 7-year-old girl was fatally shot in what authorities believe was an accidental shooting. The Baltimore County Police Department reported that officers were dispatched to the 7800 block of Selgrave Road around 3:15 p.m. after receiving reports of the shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found the girl with gunshot wounds and she was immediately transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, but police indicated that adults were present in the home at the time.

Trae Corbin, a spokesperson for the county police, expressed the gravity of the situation, stating, “Anytime a child’s life is lost, it’s absolutely tragic.” Homicide investigators are currently working to piece together the details of how the incident occurred.

This incident marks another heartbreaking event in Baltimore County, following the recent shooting deaths of two siblings, 9-year-old Steve Allen and 15-year-old Giovanna Myrie, in Gwynn Oaks just a week prior. Police have classified that shooting as isolated and are actively searching for a suspect.
