The Maryland Department of the Environment has issued a Code
PURPLE Air Quality Alert Friday for Northeast Maryland.
A Code Purple Air Quality Alert means that air pollution
concentrations within the region are very unhealthy for the general
population. The risk of health effects is increased for everyone.
The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous
activity or exercise outdoors.
