BALTIMORE — A significant police response occurred in Northwest Baltimore on Friday night after officers were dispatched to a house fire.

Authorities reported that the incident took place in the 3400 block of Marmon Avenue, where firefighters arrived to find a two-story single-family residence ablaze at the rear.

Upon their arrival, police encountered a large altercation involving several individuals outside the burning structure.

According to police, one of the individuals present during the fight was armed and subsequently taken into custody. The identity of the arrested person has not been disclosed.

The cause of the house fire is currently under investigation by fire officials.
