BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore police have arrested a Halethorpe man in connection with a shooting that occurred in South Baltimore, resulting in one fatality.
According to police reports, 20-year-old Taiquan Thomas was apprehended on July 15, 2026, in Catonsville. He faces charges of first-degree murder and first-degree assault.
The incident took place on June 6, 2026, in the 1000 block of South Hanover Street. Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 2:51 a.m. that morning.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered three men suffering from gunshot wounds. Two of the victims, aged 40 and 35, were transported to local hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening. However, a third victim, a 41-year-old man, was found with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.
This victim was later identified as Curtis Knox. Following his death, the investigation was upgraded to a homicide case.
