Baltimore 7-Eleven Faces Another Theft After Recent Assault

A Baltimore convenience store is in the spotlight once more following a theft incident that occurred shortly after a violent attack on a 74-year-old man outside its doors.

According to the Baltimore Police, the theft took place around midnight on July 18 at the 7-Eleven located on Liberty Heights Avenue. Witnesses reported seeing a group of male juveniles inside the store, and investigators believe they fled with cigarettes and cigars before law enforcement arrived.

This incident follows closely on the heels of a brutal assault that took place on July 17, where surveillance footage captured six male suspects attacking the elderly victim. The suspects were seen surrounding the man and physically assaulting him, leading to renewed concerns about juvenile crime in the area.

Local residents have expressed their worries regarding safety at the store, especially after it has reduced its overnight hours. One neighbor, Marcus Royster, voiced his concerns, suggesting that the store should return to its regular hours for the safety of the community.

As police continue their investigation into both the assault and the overnight theft, they are urging anyone with information to come forward. The search for the suspects involved in the July 17 attack remains ongoing.
