Baltimore Fire Truck Accident on Icy Roads Injures Four Firefighters

Late Sunday night, a Baltimore City fire truck was involved in an accident that left four firefighters with minor injuries. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Chesapeake Avenue and Maude Avenue, near the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel.

While responding to a single-box alarm, the fire truck lost traction on icy roads and collided with a parked box truck. All four firefighters aboard were evaluated for injuries and subsequently transported to local hospitals as a precaution, according to John Marsh, a spokesperson for the Baltimore City Fire Department.

This incident comes on the heels of another significant crash on icy roads in Baltimore, where over 15 vehicles were involved in a collision on an Interstate 83 overpass. At least one individual was taken to the hospital following that accident, which occurred at the intersection of 29th Street and Druid Park Lake Drive.
