On July 5, 2026, a suspect was fatally shot by Baltimore Police officers following a vehicle pursuit that began after a reported carjacking in Baltimore County.
The incident unfolded when the Baltimore Police Department's Aviation Unit, known as Foxtrot, located a stolen vehicle linked to the carjacking. Foxtrot monitored the vehicle's movements and notified ground units of its location.
Officers successfully stopped the vehicle in the 3300 block of Clifton Avenue. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers issued multiple commands to the driver. During this encounter, officers discharged their weapons, striking the driver.
Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene, and officers provided medical assistance until they arrived. The driver was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Authorities recovered a BB gun from the vehicle, but no officers sustained injuries during the incident.
