Baltimore Resident Sentenced to Eight Years for Cocaine Trafficking

A 38-year-old man from Baltimore has been sentenced to eight years in prison for his participation in a cocaine trafficking scheme, as announced by the Maryland State's Attorney's Office.

Marvin Miller faced charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, stemming from a federal investigation initiated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in 2023. The investigation focused on a drug trafficking operation in Baltimore.

In April 2023, law enforcement conducted surveillance on a stash house managed by Miller. According to court documents, investigators utilized cameras and electronic monitoring to observe Miller's daily visits to the location, where he met with co-conspirators.

On December 19, 2023, Miller was recorded meeting with a customer, identified as Elroy Johnson, inside the stash house. Following this meeting, Johnson left the premises with a concealed item and was subsequently stopped by police for a traffic violation. A search of his vehicle uncovered one kilogram of cocaine hidden under the driver's seat.

In response to this discovery, law enforcement sought and obtained a warrant to search Miller's stash house and vehicle. When officers approached Miller at the stash house, he attempted to flee but was apprehended. During the search, he confessed to possessing cocaine and cash within the residence.

Investigators recovered one kilogram of cocaine and $671,685 in cash stored in two suitcases, along with three cellphones. Evidence from Miller's messages indicated plans to purchase nearly 60 kilograms of cocaine using the cash found at the stash house.
