Baltimore's beloved end-of-summer festival, Charm City Live, is set to return to downtown on Saturday, September 5, 2026. The event, which will be held at the historic War Memorial Plaza, promises an exciting lineup of national and local performers, as well as various family-oriented activities.
Mayor Brandon M. Scott expressed his enthusiasm for the festival, stating, “From AFRAM to Artscape and everything in between, Baltimore has once again proven that we are home to the best festivals in the nation.” He emphasized that Charm City Live serves as a platform for celebrating music, local businesses, and community engagement.
This year’s festival will feature performances by notable national artists including Case and Boyz II Men, along with DJ sets from Porkchop, DJ Tanz, DJ Keebee, and Uncle E. In addition to these performances, attendees can look forward to local talent, food vendors, retail merchants, and community organizations.
Linzy Jackson, director of the Mayor’s Office of Arts, Culture and Entertainment, highlighted the festival's role in showcasing Baltimore’s rich culture and supporting local businesses. “Charm City Live is more than a concert—it’s a celebration of Baltimore,” he stated.
Dr. Reginald Moore, executive director of Baltimore City Recreation and Parks, noted that the festival has become a cherished tradition, promising a safe and family-friendly environment filled with entertainment and cultural experiences.
Furthermore, Shelonda Stokes, president of the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, remarked on the festival's ability to energize the downtown area and attract visitors, thereby benefiting local businesses.
As the festival approaches, the Baltimore City Department of Transportation will implement temporary road closures and traffic detours to facilitate the event. Residents are advised to expect closures on portions of Gay Street, Baltimore Street, Saratoga Street, Lexington Street, and Fayette Street, and to plan their travel accordingly.
Charm City Live is a free, one-day festival organized by the Mayor’s Office of Arts, Culture and Entertainment, aimed at uniting residents and visitors through music, food, and community activities. Vendor applications for food, retail, and community exhibitors are still open on the festival's website, with more details regarding entertainment schedules and parking to be announced in the coming weeks.
