Baltimore Police have apprehended a 49-year-old man, Jason S. Morgan, believed to be linked to a series of flashing incidents reported in the Canton neighborhood.
The arrest took place on Tuesday at a residence in Harford County, where Morgan was taken into custody and subsequently transported to a local detention center. He faces three counts of indecent exposure.
Despite the arrest, investigators are continuing to look into whether Morgan might be involved in additional similar incidents.
One of the victims, Samantha Pollitt, 36, reported that she encountered an unidentified man exposing himself to her on multiple occasions between June and July. According to Pollitt, the man would walk along South Ellwood Avenue without clothes, halting when he spotted her to expose his genitalia. Over time, his actions escalated to the point where he began masturbating in public.
After sharing her experiences in a neighborhood Facebook group, Pollitt discovered that others had similar encounters with the man, with some stating that he had been active in the area for years.
Pollitt's last encounter occurred last Thursday, and by Saturday, police informed her that they had identified the suspect and were actively searching for him.
“The biggest support I’ve had is from the neighborhood,” Pollitt remarked. “I didn’t even know it would have as much traction as it has. I was just putting it out there so like people would be safe.”
