Charm'tastic Mile Seeks Century-Long Agreement with Baltimore Officials

BALTIMORE, MD — The Charm'tastic Mile, a celebrated 1.3-mile corridor in downtown Baltimore, is pursuing a remarkable 100-year agreement with Mayor Brandon Scott and the City Council. The initiative aims to solidify the corridor's status as one of America's most iconic streets.

Established in 2016, the Charm'tastic Mile connects key areas including the Inner Harbor and Harbor East. It has gained recognition as one of the top streets in the United States, recently listed among the top 10-15 most famous streets by Google search.

The proposed agreement is expected to be finalized within the 2026 calendar year, coinciding with the city's preparations for the 250th anniversary of the United States. The Charm'tastic Mile celebrated its 10th anniversary on April 25, 2026, marking a decade since its introduction to the city.

Mayor Scott and Governor Wes Moore acknowledged this milestone with formal recognitions, highlighting the street's significance within the community. The Charm'tastic Mile is the only street in Baltimore and Maryland to hold a USPTO trademark, a distinction it shares with renowned streets such as the Magnificent Mile and Rodeo Drive.

In addition to its trademark status, the Charm'tastic Mile was prominently featured in the Baltimore edition of MONOPOLY, which launched on October 24, 2025. This inclusion underscores its cultural relevance and appeal.

The proposed long-term agreement is seen as a strategic move to support the ongoing $1 billion redevelopment project at the Inner Harbor, set to be completed by 2030. This development is expected to enhance the economic and cultural landscape of the area.

As Baltimore approaches significant anniversaries and developments, the Charm'tastic Mile aims to ensure that its branding and ownership remain firmly rooted in the city for generations to come.
