Montgomery County Police are actively searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a pedestrian in Gaithersburg.
The collision occurred around 4:47 a.m. at the intersection of Muddy Branch Road and West Diamond Avenue, as reported by police through social media updates.
Authorities described the vehicle as a dark gray, older-model Honda CR-V, which may have red accents and noticeable front-end damage on its left side. The SUV was last observed traveling on Muddy Branch Road towards West Diamond Avenue.
The identity of the pedestrian who lost their life has not been disclosed as of Wednesday morning.
