BALTIMORE — A serious traffic accident occurred early Thursday morning involving two vehicles and an MTA bus, leading to multiple injuries and a significant emergency response.

The incident took place shortly before 1:15 a.m. on March 19, 2026, in the 100 block of East Preston Street. Upon arrival, Baltimore City Fire Department crews discovered extensive damage and found at least one individual trapped inside a vehicle.

Firefighters initiated a complex extrication process to free the trapped victim. They were supported by the Special Operations Command team from the Baltimore City Fire Department and the Shock Trauma Go Team, which comprises trauma specialists and physicians.

In total, eight individuals were transported to local hospitals, with injuries varying in severity. Fortunately, all injured parties are expected to survive, according to officials.
