A tragic accident occurred in Glen Burnie on Friday, resulting in the death of a 51-year-old motorcyclist. The incident took place around noon on Ritchie Highway at Holsum Way, as reported by the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
According to the police, the driver of a Ford E450 transit bus was executing a left turn onto Holsum Way while the traffic signal was green. At that moment, the motorcyclist, riding a 2005 Suzuki, collided with the side of the bus.
Fortunately, the bus was empty, and the 39-year-old female driver escaped unharmed. However, authorities noted that the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed. The Anne Arundel County Police are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
