Two firefighters sustained minor injuries while combating a fire that erupted in Hampden on Saturday evening. The Baltimore City Fire Department reported that crews were dispatched to the 900 block of West 37th Street after smoke was observed coming from one of the rowhomes.
The blaze quickly spread to two adjacent homes, leading to the issuance of a second alarm to manage the situation. Fortunately, one of the affected homes was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation as firefighters continue to assess the damage and ensure the area is safe.
