ELKRIDGE, Md. — A house fire on Wednesday prompted a response from multiple fire crews in Howard County, with assistance from neighboring jurisdictions.
The incident occurred in the 4800 block of Wellstone Way, where firefighters discovered flames in both the garage and attic of a single-family residence.
Firefighters from Howard County, along with teams from Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties, worked together to bring the fire under control within approximately 40 minutes.
At the scene, one resident and two firefighters were evaluated by paramedics. One firefighter was subsequently transported to a local hospital for further treatment, though their condition has not been disclosed.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by authorities.
