Firefighters responded to a rowhome fire in the Franklin Square neighborhood of southwest Baltimore on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews from the Baltimore City Fire Department were dispatched to 1819 W. Fayette Street shortly before 3:30 p.m.

As of 4:03 p.m., firefighters continued to work at the scene of the fire.

Two firefighters sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The severity of their injuries has not been disclosed.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by officials.
