A former employee of Glen Haven Elementary School in Montgomery County, Maryland, is facing multiple charges following an incident that led to a lockdown at the school.
The event occurred on Wednesday morning when police were called to the school at approximately 11:34 a.m. after reports surfaced of an unauthorized person on the premises. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Nadine Akoko Sefako Dogbo, allegedly assaulted staff members before law enforcement arrived.
In response to the situation, school administrators quickly initiated a lockdown to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that Dogbo had fled the scene on foot, prompting a short pursuit. She was ultimately apprehended and taken into custody.
Following her arrest, the school shifted from lockdown to a secure status as authorities worked to stabilize the environment.
Dogbo, who hails from Gaithersburg, was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. She faces several charges, including trespassing, two counts of second-degree assault, and additional charges for disrupting the educational process, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.
