Former Harford County EMT Arrested on Child Exploitation Charges

HARFORD COUNTY, Md. — A former emergency medical technician (EMT) in Harford County has been arrested on multiple charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors, according to the Maryland State Police.

The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Jurel Daquone Leo Bowman, originally from Calvert County, faces six counts of sexual solicitation of a minor. The investigation into his activities began in November 2025.

Authorities reported that the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Harford County Sheriff's Office, led the investigation.

Bowman had been employed by the Susquehanna Hose Company since May 2025 but was terminated following his arrest. The fire company confirmed that the investigation spanned three years and involved multiple fire and EMS stations across Harford County.

According to the fire company, the alleged offenses were conducted using Bowman's personal laptop while connected to the Harford County HMAN (Harford Metro Area Network) internet system. It is believed that many of these incidents occurred during his shifts, which included time spent at Susquehanna Hose Company House 3 and House 5.

In a statement, the Susquehanna Hose Company expressed its commitment to cooperating with the ongoing investigation and emphasized its dedication to providing emergency medical services to the community.

Bowman was taken into custody at his workplace around 9 p.m. on Thursday and is currently being processed at the Harford County Detention Center.
