Health Department Issues Swimming Advisory for Pasadena Beaches

The Maryland Department of Health has issued advisories for two beaches in Pasadena, warning residents and visitors about high levels of bacteria.

Effective June 17, both Bayside Beach and Upper Magothy Beach are under scrutiny due to elevated enterococci levels. The health department has advised against swimming, waterskiing, and any direct contact with the water at these locations.

The advisory will remain in effect until subsequent testing confirms that water quality meets acceptable standards.
