BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — Serious allegations have emerged against a paramedic in the Baltimore County Fire Department, leading to a police investigation and significant public health concerns.
Reports indicate that the paramedic is accused of engaging in lewd acts, including masturbation and urination, in shared areas of fire stations. Additionally, the individual allegedly posted videos of these acts on subscription-based platforms like OnlyFans, as well as on public social media accounts.
In a communication to department staff on December 3, Fire Chief Joseph Dixon confirmed that the employee involved in the misconduct is currently not on duty. In light of the allegations, the department has initiated hazmat cleaning procedures across all fire stations and offices.
County officials, including Executive Kathy Klausmeier, expressed their concern regarding the situation. Klausmeier emphasized that the health and safety of employees remain a top priority for the county and stated that her administration is collaborating with department leadership and the IAFF Local 1311 to provide necessary support and resources during the ongoing investigation.
Health experts have assessed the risk of disease transmission from the alleged contamination as minimal, but staff members are still encouraged to undergo testing at the employee health center.
In response to the situation, IAFF Local 1311 President Steve Redmer condemned the alleged actions as a serious breach of trust, asserting that such behavior has no place within the department.
The hazmat cleaning process will include the replacement of ice machines in all affected locations.
