The Maryland Attorney General's Independent Investigation Division is currently looking into a police-involved shooting that occurred in northwest Baltimore early Sunday morning.
The incident took place near the Walbrook Junction Shopping Center and reportedly followed a police chase. Officers responded to the scene and established a perimeter, placing multiple orange cones around a vehicle located at the intersection of Denison Street and Clifton Avenue.
Homicide detectives were observed collecting evidence in the vicinity, while several high-ranking police officials were present at the scene overseeing the investigation.
The Attorney General's office confirmed that it had initiated its investigation approximately two hours after the shooting incident.
