Investigation Underway After Human Remains Discovered in Middle River

Baltimore County Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of human remains near a highway in Middle River.

Officers from the Parkville precinct responded to the scene at the intersection of state Route 702 and Interstate 695 after receiving reports of the remains around 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

According to police, the remains were located in a creek bed of Back River and were described as being in a state of significant decomposition.

Homicide detectives have also been called to the scene as part of the ongoing investigation.
