BALTIMORE — A shooting that occurred on Saturday in southwest Baltimore has left one man dead, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of Frederick Avenue in the Irvington area at around 3:37 p.m. in response to reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, police found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene but pronounced the victim dead shortly thereafter.

Homicide detectives are now leading the investigation into this incident.
