Man in Critical Condition Following South Baltimore Shooting

The Baltimore Police Department is currently looking into a shooting that occurred in the Southern District early on July 4.

At around 3:14 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 500 block of Freeman Street. Upon arrival, they discovered an unidentified man who had sustained serious gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene and subsequently transported the victim to a local hospital for urgent medical care.

Given the severity of the man's injuries, homicide detectives have been alerted to the case as part of the ongoing investigation.
